We had a great time celebrating our anniversary, but I must admit that we both we anxiously awaiting a special arrival that night...my family!! Which is the second reason this date was so important to us this year-we seriously had been counting down the days for months. It was the BEST anniversary present I could ever ask for while in Africa. On top of that, we got to spend our anniversary away from home in an extremely nice hotel (thanks to my sweet parents)! It was too perfect!
Needless to say, with the family in town, blogging has been put on the back burner. Plus, we went on a week safari (which truly was a trip of a lifetime) and had no internet access. The safari was absolutely amazing and just great being with family. I'll definitely be posting pictures of the trip soon, but be patient with me because between all of our cameras we have over 10,000 pictures...and yes, you read that right...10,000! Crazy, I know! :)
This was the night they arrived. Micah was woken up out of bed to see everyone. It had been 8 months since he had seen any of them, so it took awhile for him to get used to their faces. He was quite the entertainer at 12:30am as he danced, sang, and babbled away-I know he was totally showing off for the gang!

What an incredible holiday we had with you in Africa! We had an absolute blast and miss you already. Give Micah-man and Paul a big hug for me. Love you.
