Soccer Stud

Here is our little soccer star who is so excited about the World Cup. Poppi and GiGi bought him a small soccer ball and his very first uniform, so he had to show it off for us. Micah wants to wear it daily-literally! Ha. He looks like such a big boy in this outfit and is extremely proud of it because it shares the same number (#10) that his favorite soccer players, Rooney and Messi, wear. Living in Kenya and Jordan has definitely allowed Micah to learn more about soccer at this age than he ever would have known living in America. He has pretty good soccer skills too :)

I LOVE this-his face is too sweet!

The Citadel

The Citadel is a fun and historic place to see that sits up on a hill near the downtown area. It consists of ancient Roman ruins and is the place where Uriah the Hittite (Bathesheba's husband) was murdered in battle. Up on top you see beautiful sites of the city-which makes for some great pictures :)

Children's Museum

We had heard from many people how great the Children's Museum is here, but had yet to go ourselves. We decided it would be a fun thing for Micah to do with my parents and post-baby, and we were not disappointed. It probably was a bit of overstimulation for a two year old, but he enjoyed running around and trying the different stations out. It was interesting for the adults and we all left more knowledgeable. :)
Our family's handprints-Paul, Kari, Micah, Jordan
Wheelchair race-this was soooo hard!
The new weatherman-he wouldn't leave this station as he loved watching himself on TV.
A few schools were there on field trips and they came running into the sand where Micah was playing. It overwhelmed him just a little as they all took his toys away from him. Ha.
Our pilot.

Riding Horsey

So, I thought this picture was too good not to share :) Micah loves riding his horsey, but had quite a new experience when Poppi joined in on the fun. They rode around the house and Poppi taught him how to beat his horse to go faster. It was hilarious to watch, but even sweeter to hear the soft giggles from my two year old's mouth. He loved the play time he had with his Poppi!

Wild Jordan

One of the nice things about having parents around is that I get a break from cooking :) We enjoyed trying several new restaurants as well as sticking to a few good ones that we already love, such as Wild Jordan. It has a pleasant atmosphere with a beautiful view of the city and outdoor seating...plus it has wonderful food! Having four extra hands around also makes it much easier to dine out with little ones! Thank you Dad and Mom!

Some Needed Exercise

We took my parents over to Sports City to enjoy some exercise on the shaded trail. It sure is getting hot around here!! Paul ran several miles, while Micah and Poppi ran together off and on. Micah kept Poppi on the go the whole time and they found several workout distractions (tires, pull up bars, sit up benches, etc) along the way to play on too. GiGi and I opted for a walk with Jordan attached to me in her carrier. I love walking and talking with my Mom :) It was a great morning for everyone.
Micah has a deep love for motorcycles, so you can imagine how happy he was when the police officer offered him to sit on his for a little while...
...he even got to try on the helmet.

Showered with Love

My parents brought several baby gifts over for us from our family and friends back in the States. Once again, we were spoiled and I've loved putting Jordan in all her new clothes. Oh how I've missed American clothing stores :) Thank you everyone for thinking of us and celebrating Jordan's birth with us! We love you and cannot wait for you to meet her soon!

Don't worry...Micah wasn't forgotten. He also got some cute clothes and even received a new toy truck that he loves!
