Trick or Treat

Dressing up is always fun...and it proved to be true on Halloween with my kids too :) I asked Micah want he wanted to be for Halloween and he chose none other than Buzz Lightyear. Duh, I should have guessed!! When looking for Buzz in stores, I was quite disappointed when I saw the costume...it was just a one piece with a hood to pull up as a helmet. BORING. I mean, Woody had a separate hat to go with his outfit, why couldn't they tag along a real helmet or something unique for Buzz. After looking at it, I decided that my Buzz needed some wings. They were really easy to make and a super cute addition to the costume...but I didn't factor in the fact that they were pretty wide and Micah would knock people around when trick-or-treating. Needless to say, they lasted for about one house and then were off.

Micah is at the age where he is starting to realize what is going on. For days and days he asked me when he could be Buzz. When Halloween came, he thought he was the coolest Buzz ever. We went to our first neighborhood party for a cookout before heading out to trick-or-treat. We were able to meet some new people and Micah quickly jumped right in with the other kids. The best part of the night was that they provided a huge hayride for the kids and parents as an escort for trick-or-treating. It was so fun and so perfect for the little ones since our neighborhood is pretty hilly and large.

Here is our little pumpkin.
Watch out Mom, I'm almost crawling.
BUZZ LIGHTYEAR to the rescue.

Hayride pic (wish I'd taken more, but I was flying solo with 2 kids at the moment, as Paul had to go up to church for a bit)
The chaos begins...
